In April 2013 the Danish talk show Blachman was broadcast for the first time. It triggered a highly controversial debate: in a dark studio two clothed men are sitting on a sofa. A woman enters, slips off her bathrobe and stands naked in front of them in full light. The men look at her body and speak about female beauty, manhood and the like. The woman is silent.
Host Thomas Blachman understands his show as a therapy offer for contemporary men who, between pornographication and changing gender relations have lost their sexual identity. But who is really taking their clothes off here? The naked or the talking? Based on a re-enactment of the talk show Rose Beermann and Iva Sveshtarova explore different forms of intimacy – and celebrate the joy of exposing themselves.
Strip naked, talk naked!

Production: FREISCHWIMMER 2014/15 is a joint project of SOPHIENSÆLE, FFT Düsseldorf, Künstlerhaus Mousonturm Frankfurt am Main, brut Wien and Gessnerallee Zürich.
